PHOENIX, ARIZONA (January 13, 2022) – Haydon Building Corp, which recently celebrated its 30th anniversary and was recognized as ENR Southwest’s contractor of the year, is pleased to announce it has hired construction industry leader Justin Newman as executive director, building division. Newman will work directly with partners, clients, and market sector leaders to deliver vertical projects throughout Arizona and the southwest.
Newman brings over 23 years of experience, expertise, and client relationships. Prior to his position at Haydon, Newman served in various executive leadership roles and managed a wide variety of projects at previous firms. Newman is active among industry groups and is most proud of the work he and other industry leaders are doing on the Industry Advisory Board of Northern Arizona University’s Construction Management program where he is the current chair. Justin graduated with a Construction Management degree from NAU.
Newman will be responsible for the overall execution of operational initiatives of Haydon’s building division, including the development of market initiatives and expansion of key segments in an ever-changing and expanding market. “We are excited to have Justin take the role of executive director for our building division,” says Katie Haydon, executive vice president. “As we move through our succession plan and prepare for the next 30 years, Justin’s embodiment of our company culture and fundamental behaviors will undoubtedly be instrumental in positioning Haydon for the future.” Chief operating officer, Matt Carpenter adds, “We have a number of strategic initiatives rolling out in 2022 including strengthening trade partner relationships and focusing on personnel development.
