This project includes the design and construction of a new 17,000 SF police precinct building with secure evidence storage, patrol equipment storage, armory, interrogation rooms, holding cells, sally port, briefing room, defensive tactics training room, fitness area, locker rooms, break rooms, administration offices, conference rooms, restrooms, and lobby/reception area. Also included is extensive site and offsite work.

This 24-acre campus project consolidated five municipal departments into one centralized location through a multi-phase approach that required strategic budget management, stakeholder coordination, and phased construction to ensure uninterrupted City operations. TMOC features two large administrative and operations buildings for Traffic, Parks, and Fleet Maintenance, along with two additional facilities for Solid Waste Services and Information Technology. Extensive site grading, utility coordination, and future expansion planning ensured long-term flexibility to accommodate future growth. With complex stakeholder requirements and strict cost controls, TMOC showcases Haydon’s ability to deliver large-scale municipal facilities through proactive leadership, phased execution, and efficient budget management.

This 22,600-square-foot conference center was designed to provide a responsibly funded, sustainably functioning facility that is both aesthetically beautiful and practical. The building houses multiple sectors of the civic community, including economic development, marketing, legal services, and City Council, as well as meeting spaces and a visitor center for public interaction. The ultimate goal of the building is to provide a safe, comfortable space for city staff and residents, as well as a resource to help attract new business to Avondale.​

In February 2022, the Avondale Visitor & Conference Center received the “Best Project, Government/Public Building” award from Engineering News-Record (ENR) magazine, recognizing its excellence in design and functionality.

This 76,000 SF facility provides administrative, supply areas, classrooms, lockers, showers and rest rooms, vehicle maintenance bays, training, assembly hall, kitchen/dining areas, and 7,200 SF of shaded multi-functional space to support the Arizona Army National Guard troops. The facility is LEED Gold certified.

This 66,500 SF facility provides administrative space, secure storage areas, classrooms, lockers, showers and rest rooms, training spaces, assembly hall, kitchen/dining areas, and shooting range to support the Arizona Army National Guard troops. The facility is LEED Gold certified.

This project includes a 20,224 SF facility in support of eight work bays which all have access to pneumatic lube / oil system, compressed air, 15-ton overhead bridge crane, and carbon monoxide exhaust hose reels. The administration area includes supporting building spaces, such as tool and supply rooms, unheated storage, physical training room, classroom, and locker rooms. The project is LEED Gold certified.

This project included a 29,000 SF police sub-station, 196,000 SF 3-level secure parking garage, report & computer rooms, administrative offices, conference & training rooms, holding cells, and gun lockers. Scope also included high-security prisoner intake/holding, and a CCTV surveillance system. The garage included sally port and secure vehicle storage for police and SWAT Team vehicles.

As a key component of the campus, the new 10,000 SF Litchfield Park Library will provide expanded programming space, study rooms, updated technology, and flexible environments for learning, collaboration, and community engagement. Developed in partnership with the Maricopa County Library District, the facility will significantly increase capacity for collections, seating, and public use, serving more than 24,000 patrons who call it their home library. Scheduled to open in Fall 2026, the library will serve as an accessible, technology-forward hub for education, culture, and lifelong learning, complementing the Heritage Center and Hilltop School for the Arts while helping create a vibrant community destination.
