Haydon has promoted Dean Marten to Vice President of Civil,
recognizing his leadership and continued impact across the company’s Site Development and Transportation markets.
In his new role, Marten will provide strategic leadership and drive operational success across both markets while supporting Haydon’s continued growth in Arizona and beyond. His focus includes strengthening long-term client relationships, identifying opportunities for market expansion, developing the next generation of leaders, and maintaining the strong culture that remains fundamental to Haydon’s success.
During his six years with Haydon, Marten has played an integral role in delivering complex civil infrastructure throughout Arizona. He hit the ground running by leading a critical Town of Gilbert project supporting construction of the Loop 202 and Lindsay Road freeway ramps. His work in Gilbert continued through projects including Val Vista Drive Improvements, Ocotillo Road Improvements, Val Vista Lakes, and multiple Job Order Contracting projects.
Marten’s experience has expanded across Arizona, supporting work for multiple municipalities and other public and private partners. He was also involved with Haydon’s Mission Critical Site Development work from its inception and continues to support the expansion of the company’s Site Development operations into Texas.
That operational experience now shapes his approach as Vice President of Civil, where Marten is focused on creating sustainable growth while ensuring Haydon continues to deliver the quality and consistency its clients expect.
“My focus is on providing strategic leadership and driving operational success across Haydon’s Site Development and Transportation markets while maintaining the strong culture that is fundamental to our success,” said Marten. “I’m equally committed to fostering long-term client relationships, cultivating new opportunities for market expansion, and developing the talent that will lead our teams into the future.”
For Marten, continued growth goes hand in hand with developing the people who will carry Haydon’s Civil operations forward. Mentorship, teamwork, talent development, and succession planning remain central to his leadership approach as the company responds to evolving infrastructure needs and expands its capabilities in both established and emerging markets.
Marten earned his degree in Construction Management and Technology from Bowling Green State University. His connection to the construction industry began much earlier, working summers with his father’s company, an experience that helped establish the foundation for his career in construction.
As Vice President of Civil, Marten will continue building on Haydon’s established presence in Arizona while positioning its Site Development and Transportation teams for their next stage of growth.
